How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up" on the homepage and follow the onboarding steps. You'll set up your profile, lifestyle preferences, and whether you're seeking a room or offering one.
How does roommate matching work?
We calculate a compatibility score based on your lifestyle preferences — sleep schedule, cleanliness, noise tolerance, and more. Browse listings and see your match percentage with each one.
How do I list a room?
After signing up as a room offerer, go to your Dashboard and click "Create Listing." Fill in details like rent, location, amenities, and upload photos of the space.
How do I contact a potential roommate?
Send an invite through the listing page. Once the other person accepts, you'll be able to see each other's contact details and start communicating directly.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. Your private address is only visible to you. Contact details are only shared after both parties accept an invite. We use Supabase with Row Level Security to protect your data.
Is Project Roomate free to use?
Yes! Creating an account, browsing listings, and connecting with potential roommates is completely free.
How do I edit my profile or listing?
Go to your Dashboard and click "Edit Profile" or find your listing and click "Edit." You can update your preferences, photos, and listing details at any time.
